On this Saturday, April 30th, Crossole, a virtual instrument developed by Anosh Daruwalla, Sang Won Lee, Avinash Sastry and myself will be showcased in Listening Machines 2011. The concert takes place between 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm at Stubbins Gallery at Georgia Tech, East Architecture Building. You can get the directions from here. The admission for the concert is free.
Meaning crossword of music, Crossole is a musical instrument where music is visualized as a set of virtual blocks that resemble a crossword puzzle. The performer controls music by manipulating the crossword blocks using hand movements and foot stomps.
Listening Machines is Georgia Tech’s annual concert produced and performed by students in Georgia Tech’s Master of Music Technology Program. Everybody is invited to share this marvelous concert experience with us.
